Keeping It Real: I know, I have touched on this subject before BUT the more I see it being used on a DAILY & REGULAR basis, it just drives me crazy! I see it on EVERY network, social site I am on! Not to mention, face to face ebonics! Somebody, even, made the suggestion of implementing into SCHOOL! WTF & WTH!!!!! HUH?...

Don't get me wrong, because I have used and probably will still use them AT TIMES, but to actually talk and write EBONICS, ALWAYS??? I think not and it just irks me to see and hear it! 

Words like, finna, Imma, fitting to, dat, dis, dere, dem, dose & I be, its unreal, Ok!!! 

I see & hear more women than men using it and they are making an impression on their children. That shit is not cute! Ya Dig?

Keeping It Real: How many women you know, that will spend $$$$ on their attire but their children look like Raggedy Ann & Andy? How many women you know, that will spend HOURS waiting to get their hair & nails done but talk big shit if they have to wait in the doctors office more than 10 minutes for their children? How many women you know, that will spend major dollars getting their man out of jail or just trying to keep him BUT will cuss their child out, if they ask to stop at Mickey D's? How many women you know that will spend money & time taking care of another person's child but give their children very little time? How many women you know, that let their children see themselves off to school, never checking hygiene, hair or even if they ate? How many women you know, that think homework, should be done at school, because they think, that's what the teachers are getting paid to do?  

I could go on & on & on..

WE have some trifling women in this world and you know what?, they come in all NATIONALITIES!!

Keeping It Real: Why is alcohol legal and marijuana isn't? I know people that have been killed by drunk drivers, hit by drunk drivers, run over by drunk drivers & property damaged by drunk drivers! I have never heard of any stories where a person that was high on marijuana killing somebody! 

They say marijuana is the gateway for harsher and addictive drugs, I SAY BULLSHIT!! I know several folks who uses coke, heroin & meth and have never smoked weed EVER!!! 

Alcohol gives you bad breath, you throw up, if you drink too much, have hangovers & WOMEN need NOT GET DRUNK!! It is not a pretty sight to see a drunk woman let alone a drunk man! They start fights, fall down and piss on themselves! The only thing a person high on marijuana will possibly do is ROB A FOOD BANK or GROCERY STORE!!! Just saying...Ya Dig?..

Keeping It Real: If your friend or co-worker approached you and said, my hubby/man wants to sleep with you, would you do it?!

I was about 21 years old, fresh out of college, had been on the job at the Renaissance Hotel Plaza in downtown Detroit for about 6 months! I was working in the Reservations Dept and a co-worker, who was an older white woman said her husband was interested in paying me money to sleep with me! 

Let me set the scenario, lol! I was young, NO children, NO man, BROKE and yes I took them upon their offer! OK, but then they had a gotcha'...She wanted to join in, I was like, uh-noooooooooooooo, ain't nothing funny about me but my jokes, I am strictly dickly! OK!! I have no problem with gays, lesbians, homosexuals or bi-sexual people! It is just not my forte'! Feel me? Anyways, long story, short, I agreed to do it BUT without her and I took the money and ran!

It was hard for me to work with her and carry a conversation with her, like I had never went to a hotel with her husband! She even asked me, what we did and I was like, I can't talk about that with you! It made me very uncomfortable!

My thing is, how can a person sleep with a friend or co-worker's man and NOT HAVE any GUILT!??? Especially the ones who do it without the other person knowing it? Mine was done with her knowledge and I still felt rotten after doing it! Ya Dig?

Keeping It Real: I ask, because I know several folks who work in HIGH END stores and from personal experience, that people will buy clothes, wear them with the price tag still attached and RETURN them the next day! 

I have watched friends, nieces & family members buy items, put them on and party hardy in them with the tag attached and return back to store as if they have never worn them. 

So I ask, are you "really"  buying new clothes when you purchase them? 

Food for thought, time to start checking collars and your garments out more closely, because this shit is happening on a daily basis! Also, stores take back UNDERWEAR TOO! You are buying USED clothing as NEW! Ya Dig?...

Keeping It Real: Is there a proper etiquette for the way a person acts? If you older, they say, you are as young as you feel! When you are young and say and do things as an adult, they say, that young person is wise and or old for their age! BUT, when you are older and act or say things young, they say ACT YOUR AGE and when you are young and act like an adult, they say quit trying to be grown! Keeping It Real: What in the HAPPY HELL, Hell to the naw and NO HE DIDN'T!!! Ummmmm, Steve, one of the judges on AI really got beside himself last night! A 15year old CHILD who was very pretty and built gorgeously for her age came onto the stage and you could see he was mesmerized by her and then when her family came on because her father was a retired famous baseball player, Steve said to the father, that it is HOT & HAPPENING, just like your daughter!! All you could hear were crickets! LOL Again, this girl was 15 years old! I love me some Steve, but uh-uh! Daddy should have been like, wtf, excuse YOU? The family was just dumbstruck! It was written all over their faces!  

OAN: WHY, WHY, WHY do people encourage folks to come on that show KNOWING they can't hold a tune, let along sing? I guess, everybody deserves their 15 seconds of fame, whether it be embarrassing or not!

Keeping It Real: It amazes me how some folks will PAY $300-$400 dollars during tax season to get "simple" taxes done! If you do not have to do a long form and even if you do, it is ALWAYS cheaper to GO ONLINE & do it yourself! 

The same software that H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt, Quick Sam and any other tax place that you walk into, are using same software, available online! It is self-explanatory and if you get stuck, they have search notes & ask questions notes right on the side! 

They also have the deluxe addition where you would only pay anywhere from $20-$80 to get help, right there as you do it! Sure beats the hell out of paying hundreds of dollars! 

Also that rapid refund shit is a rip off and does not benefit the payee who is giving up almost 1/2 of their refund just to get it a little quicker! Unreal Ya Dig?....

Keeping It Real: How many people can honestly say, when a police pulls up behind you, even though, you know, you haven't did anything wrong, you get nervous? Regardless of age, skin color and sex, we get nervous around the police, UNLESS you are po-po yourself!


My thing is how can a police say a person is acting nervous and or suspicious when they pull them over or bring them in for questioning? Most people get nervous around police and would act in a suspicious way if they are being questioned, especially when they know they haven't done anything wrong! Ya Dig?..

What person ALLOWS their family's house to get in that disarray? Some of these folks have accumulated shit OVER YEARS, what?, their family (mother, father, sisters, brothers, CHILDREN) do not come and VISIT? 

How can people allow cameras into their family homes and think it makes them (the hoarders) look bad!!!! UH NO, you the family member, should be so embarrassed  to have cameras on your mother and or father like that! It means, you are NOT visiting or helping out your parents the way a child or children should! 

This shit is unreal! 

I watched a few episodes and was so disgusted with the FAMILY, not the person because they CLEARLY have some kind of mental issue! One woman had 2 million USED ADULT diapers in her bathroom, all over the place! The people had to wear masks and still couldn't tolerate the stench! 

I feel like, when a person gets a certain age and health folks have to come in, they should hold the FAMILY MEMBERS ACCOUNTABLE!! Ya Dig?..

WHAT THE HELL???  According to docs filed back in March 2011, Mr. P (real name Percy Miller) was ordered to pay ex-wife Sonya the minuscule amount (by his standards) based on a monthly income of just $1,387.  Come on now, didn't this fool BUY a basketball team?

P's ex has been trying to get his real financials, to no avail so far.  So the Dept. of Child Support Services hit him with the minimum until they can assess his true worth. This is sooooooo wrong on SO MANY levels and if he only paid that knowing his worth, makes him a complete ASS!!

The Millers have six children, four of whom are minors and what kind of an example is he showing his SONS about being a Father and his DAUGHTERS about men and their father! Unreal, Ya Dig?...

Keeping It Real: The Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is the virus that causes AIDS (Auto Immune Deficiency Syndrome). Many people who have HIV do not know that they are infected; for this reason it is important to get tested for HIV if you are sexually active or at risk for HIV in other ways. 

I have a personal friend who I grew up with, who has had the Virus for over 10 years! When I 1st learned he had the Virus, I was at a wedding reception and when he walked in, it was like Moses parting the Red Sea! UNREAL!! I was in my hometown and was living 40 minutes away, so I hadn't heard he was sick. I knew from when he was a teenager and he used to be my dance partner ( we won many contests) that he was homosexual! So I went to him, hugged him and said what's up? One of my family members, came and rudely pulled me away and said, haven't you heard, he has AIDS!! I was like what?, BUT it never took away the fact, that this man was my FRIEND, MY BUDDY, my dancing partner for years and I had watched Linda Evans on Dynasty hug and share kisses with Rock Hudson who died of AIDS with no complications from it! I told my sister to let go of my arm and went back to my friend, while people just stared and pointed! I finally said, IT IS NOT CONTAGIOUS! You can't get it by hugging, talking, mingling or even standing by a person infected with the disease! How ignorant can you all be? Long story, short, he and I are still friends to this day and yes he does still have the virus!    

The best way to avoid being infected with HIV sexually is to avoid any sexual activity that involves blood, semen or vaginal fluids. If you are sexually active you can reduce your risk of infection by reducing your number of partners, only engaging in sexual activity with someone who does not have HIV. Use a latex or polyurethane condom or barrier each time you engage in sexual activity. If you use injection drugs you should never share needles and you should disinfect them with each use. Remember that HIV is transmitted in blood, semen, vaginal fluids and breast milk, so to reduce your risk you should avoid contact with these fluids.


People need to get educated about STDs and Venereal diseases or better yet, PROTECT YOURSELF, Use CONDOMS!!!! Ya Dig?...
