Lesson Of The Day: Attorney's Advice..No Charge

If only one item applies to you it is worth reading this.

ATTORNEYs ADVICE - NO CHARGE

Not A Joke!!   Even If you dislike attorneys....you will love them for these tips.

Read this and make a copy for your files in case you need to refer to it someday. Maybe we should all take some of his advice! A corporate attorney sent the following out to the employees in his company:

1. Do not sign the back of your credit cards. Instead, put 'PHOTO ID REQUIRED.'

2. When you are writing checks to pay on your credit card accounts,  DO  NOT put the complete  account number on the 'For' line. Instead, just put the  last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number, and anyone who might be handling your check as it passes through all the check processing channels won't have access to it.

3. Put your work phone # on your checks instead of your home phone. If you have a PO Box use that instead of your home address. If you do not have a PO Box, use your work address. Never have your  SS# printed on your checks. (DUH!) You can add it if it is necessary. But if you have It printed, anyone can get it.

4. Place the contents of your wallet on a photocopy machine. Do both sides of each license, credit card, etc. You will know what you had in your wallet and all of the account numbers and phone numbers to call and cancel..... Keep the photocopy in a safe place.
I also carry a photocopy of my passport when I travel either here or abroad. We've all heard horror stories about fraud that's committed on us in stealing a Name, address, Social Security number, credit cards.

Unfortunately, I an attorney, have first hand knowledge because my wallet was stolen last month... Within a week, the thieves ordered an expensive monthly cell phone package, applied for a VISA credit card, had a credit line approved to buy a Gateway computer, received a PIN number from DMV to change my driving record information online, and more.
But here's some critical information to limit the damage  in case this happens to you or someone you know:

5. We have been told we should  cancel our  credit cards immediately.. But the key is having the toll free numbers and your card numbers handy so you know whom to call. Keep those where you can find them.

6.  File a police report immediately in the jurisdiction where your credit cards, etc., were stolen. This proves to credit providers you were diligent, and this is a first step toward an investigation (if there ever is one).

But here's what is perhaps  most important of all: (I never even thought to do this.)
7. Call  the  3 national credit reporting organizations  immediately to place a fraud alert on your name and also call the Social Security fraud line number. I had never heard of doing that until advised by a bank that called to tell me an application for credit was made over the Internet in my name.

The alert means any company that checks your credit knows your information was stolen, and they have to contact you by phone to authorize new credit.

By the time I was advised to do this, almost two weeks after the theft, all the damage had been done. There are records of all the credit checks initiated by the thieves purchases, none of which I knew about before placing the alert. Since then, no additional damage has been done, and the thieves threw my wallet away this weekend (someone turned it in). It seems to have stopped them dead in their tracks..

Now, here are the numbers you always need to contact about your wallet, if it has been stolen:

1..) Equifax: 1-800-525-6285

2.) Experian (formerly TRW): 1-888-397-3742

3.) Trans Union : 1-800-680 7289

4.) Social Security Administration (fraud line):
1-800-269-0271

We pass along jokes on the Internet; we pass a long just about everything.

If you are willing to pass this information along, it could really
Help someone that you care about..  Ya Dig?...

Let's not forget about the Dollar stores, where you can pick up, all kinds of this and that, for a dollar or less!

Please believe, when you bypass the cheaper goods to get to the more expensive ones just because of the brand, you are truly missing out! Ya Dig?..

Lesson Of The Day: BasketBall Wives L.A. 09/26/2011

Keeping It Real: WHERE'S TANYA? At least, when Meeka left, everyone knew, it was because of the beat down she got, but Tanya, just up and POOF, she gone! LOL The show is better without her phony, want it to be all about her & MEtivational (motivational) ass!

I so agree with Laurie, Imani needs some PENIS, cuz her hand job just ain't getting it! I surely, don't understand the comments, white is right! FOR WHAT???

Malaysia lied about what she said to Draya, why backpedal? It's ALL on tape!

What did Matt mean when he said to Gloria about the single, meddling ass friend? Did I MISS their marriage? Has he and Gloria gotten married already? mmmmm hmmm

The name of the show should be Draya & BBW L.A. They are so much in her business, it is ridamdiculous! Jackie lied to Draya and Draya is THE ONLY ONE keeping it real and 100 hundred! Did they forget, they were being taped?

Laurie is delusional when she says Malaysia sucker punch her and that she whipped Malyasia's ass! NOT on both counts! She passed the 1st hit across table & saw Malaysia coming at her, not a sucker punch and they had to pull her off of Laurie's ass, so who got their ass kicked? mmmm hmmmm

This series is better than Miami BBW! Ya Dig?...

Lesson Of The Day: Smart Ass

Keeping It Real: In my most honest opinion, it is better to be smart and act dumb (only when necessary) than to be dumber than a box of rocks and try to be and act smart and THEN YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH! Stupid is as stupid does! You think they made the words Dumb, Dumber, Ignorant & Stupid, just because? Mmmmm Hmmmm Ya Dig?

Lesson Of The Day: The Devil Is A Liar...

Keeping It Real: When you carry a Bible, the devil gets a headache. When you open it, he collapses. When he sees you reading it, he faints. When he sees you living it, he flees. And just when you are about to tell everybody about God's Goodness & Grace, he will try & discourage you. I just defeated him.Ya Dig?...

Lesson Of The Day: Goodbye Heartache...

I’m sick of all the stress and mess that keeps me feeling all this turmoil inside,
It’s time to love me, my soul, my being, my beauty and my pride.
To every beginning, there’s an end, I was meeting you more than halfway, now was that fair?
If you were a true man and knew me, then you know I truly loved you and cared.
Sometimes things happen and get so ridiculously and stupidly insane,
Today, I take a stand and I say, I’m tired of all the blame, called all kinds of names and you playing all your games.
It’s time to uplift me, praise me and be about me in all that I do,
It’s my time, my day, right now, I have learned it’s not always all about you, you, you.
Today, I stand and I say goodbye to being your mother, maid and cook,
Goodbye to being told by you, I don’t have the right smile, hair and my looks.
Goodbye to all my wasted days and nights I have spent alone,
Get to packing your bags and call your sister, your brother, HELL you can even call Tyrone.
My heart, mind, body and esteem can’t take anymore tugs, pains and aches,
I’m looking for a real positive, gentle, intelligent, understanding and generous man, not a fake.
Goodbye to being and doing bad with you, I can do bad all by myself,

With that being said, to the left, to the left!
Goodbye Heartache….Ya Dig?...

Troy Davis by Color of Change, org

At 11:08 pm, the state of Georgia killed Troy Davis. Just before he was executed, Troy maintained his innocence, urged people to dig deeper into the case to find the truth, and said "For those about to take my life, may God have mercy on your souls, may God bless your souls." It's a tragic day for Troy, for his family, and for equality, fairness, and justice.
It's hard to know what to say at a time like this. In this moment, and in the days and weeks before Troy's execution, we've felt all kinds of things — anger, sadness, inspiration, hope and hopelessness. This is a time to mourn and remember Troy, to contemplate the profound loss we're facing, to send love and support to Troy's family and friends. It's incredibly important to take the time to spiritually and emotionally care for Troy's family and the amazing community that has arisen to support Troy — and it feels hard to muster the energy to do much more than that.
But before he died, Troy told us that this was about more than him — and he called on those of us who have fought against his execution to continue fighting for justice, even if we weren't successful in saving his life. Now is also an important moment to take stock of what's brought us to this point — the criminal justice system that allowed this to happen, and the movement we've built to fight for Troy and others facing injustice and oppression at the hands of that system.
Race, the criminal justice system, and the death penalty
At every stage of the criminal justice system, Black people and other minorities face inequality and discrimination. We all know about people who've been treated unfairly by police or by the courts. When the entire system treats Black people unequally, it means that the death penalty is applied unequally too. Troy Davis' case underscores the way in which this systemic inequality can lead to a tragic miscarriage of justice.
In most cases, people who've been treated unfairly or wrongly convicted have some chance to correct the injustice. People who have been mistreated by the police can sue them. People who are wrongly serving time can be granted new trials, can be released from prison, and are sometimes entitled to compensation. As we all know, the safeguards that can correct abuse by the criminal justice system often fail, and rampant inequality persists. Usually, people can at least keep trying.
But there's no way to correct a death sentence. If Troy Davis were serving a sentence of life in prison without parole, he could continue to press the legal system to grant him a fair trial — but because the death penalty exists, he will not have that opportunity.
Troy Davis' case has sparked a national conversation about the death penalty. In the past, much of the debate around the death penalty has focused on the morality of killing people as a legal punishment — a very important question that brings out a lot of strong opinions. But even if we completely leave aside the question whether or not it can ever be right for the government to punish a murderer by killing them, there's an entirely different debate to be had — whether or not we can have the death penalty and actually avoid the possibility of killing innocent people. In a criminal justice system that routinely misidentifies Black suspects and disproportionately punishes Black people, Black folks are more likely to be wrongfully executed.
There's plenty of evidence to suggest that the death penalty has been used to kill innocent people many times. Since 1973, more than 130 people have been released from death row because of evidence that they were wrongly convicted. Troy Davis is one of many people who were executed despite serious questions about their guilt, and he's called on his supporters to continue working to end the death penalty.
A group of NAACP organizers went to visit Troy in prison yesterday, and NAACP's Robert Rooks said this about the visit:
For someone that was facing death the very next day, he was just full of life and wanted to spend time talking to the younger staff, the interns, giving them direction and hope and asking them to hold onto God. And he challenged them. He challenged them by saying, "You have a choice. You can either fold up your bags after tomorrow and go home, or you can stand and continue this fight." He said it doesn’t—it didn’t begin with Troy Davis, and this won’t end if he is executed today. He just asked us all just to continue to fight to end the death penalty, if in fact he’s executed.
A powerful movement
For years, ColorOfChange members have been an important part of a growing movement to stop Troy Davis' execution. Hundreds of phone calls from ColorOfChange members to the Georgia Board of Pardons and Parole helped delay Davis' execution twice. Over the past year, there's been a huge outpouring of support for Davis from ColorOfChange members — more than 100,000 of us have signed petitions, and we raised more than $30,000 to run radio ads in Georgia calling for justice for Troy.
And we've been part of an even bigger movement — NAACP, Amnesty International, National Action Network, Change.org, and others have all been a major part of the fight for Troy Davis, and there are now over close to a million petition signatures overall. Prominent people from all across the political spectrum have spoken out: members of the Congressional Black Caucus, Desmond Tutu, former President Jimmy Carter, Pope Benedict XVI, former FBI Director William Sessions, former Georgia Republican congressman Bob Barr, and former Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Norman Fletcher.
This movement couldn't stop Davis' execution — but it's a movement that won't die with Troy Davis. There's no better way to honor Troy's memory than to keep fighting for justice.
Thanks and Peace,
-- Rashad, James, Gabriel, William, Dani, Matt, Natasha and the rest of the ColorOfChange.org team

Lesson Of The Day: Momma's Baby, Daddy Maybe

Keeping It Real: We are ALWAYS on the men about being a better Father and stepping up to the plate and taking care of their children BUT what about some of these skanky ass, trifling ass women who LAY up with more than ONE man with NO protection and then FINGER one man as the Father?

Why can't you as a woman say, I know it was wrong or I'm wrong, but it is a possibility that the child may be another man's!

I know of men, who have taken care of a child ALL their life, then find out, only minutes away from child's 18th birthday, that the child is not theirs! Women should be made to pay back anything & everything, the "supposed" Father has did, when it is determined, child is not his!

If you lay and play, you should be big enough to say! Ya Dig?...

BasketBall Wives L.A. 09/19/2011

This show is off the chain!

What happened to Tanya? She hasn't been shown since she got up and walked out f the gathering, they had at Imani's house! LOL Did the SHOW realize, Tanya was as fake as a 3 dollar bill? LOL Did anybody, EVEN, notice, that she hasn't been shown? LOL Who, is of ANY race has never heard the word, hood rat? I do not care how uppity, rich and or ghetto fab you may be, everybody has heard of a hoodrat! She said, she had to google it, BULLSHIT!! Now what she needs to google is that awful haircolor that does not match her dark skin and start caring about people, other than herself! If you haven't figured Tanya out yet, it's all about me, me, me!

Now why should Jackie be surprised Draya didn't show up at her wedding? Nice ceremony too BUT come on, Jackie, you DID go behind Draya's back and ask the other women should you invite her! You also, said, did you fuck up by inviting her! Please, Draya did right, by NOT showing up, she would have been scrutinized just like she has been throughout the few episodes! Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee Ya Dig?

Lesson Of The Day: Lost But You Win...

May God manifest himself today in ways you have never experienced. May your joys be fulfilled, your dreams be closer, and your prayers be answered. I pray that faith enters a new height for you; I pray that your territory is enlarged. I pray for peace, healing, health, happiness, prosperity, joy, true and undying love for God. Lesson Of The Day: Much Right Man

Keeping It Real: A Much Right man is a man who is just as much mine as he is yours! A Much Right man has a Do Right wife and many other women! He does what he wants, when he wants, where he wants and gets away with it, because his wife ONLY cares that she has a man, that doesn't give her diseases, "so-call" respects her and pays her bills! He may have ample bank and a little bit of status to go with it!

For the Do Right wife/girl/woman and his many women, do you ever wonder, once he comes to your home and slides into bed with you, after you do him orally, DID HE SHOWER from his last sexcapade and you just slurped HER? Food for thought!! Ya Dig?...

Lesson Of The Day: Celebrity Infidelity/Affairs

Keeping It Real: Why is it OUR business? Why must they get on TV and or do an interview explaining why they cheated? I feel they owe their family an apology, NOT US!

Why would they have President Clinton or any president for that matter, in court, because they cheated? Just because Monica and NOT Hillary sucked his penis would have ruined our country? Why try & impeach a man for something, in my eyes, was clearly, not our business! If Hillary didn't have a problem with it, why should we have? How many politicians do you know, that do not lie?

Why isn't regular folks put on PUBLIC DISPLAY when they cheat? Hell, I could write a damn book about my ex-hubby and numerous of his friends, my friends and people I know, who aren't famous BUT has done some nasty shit along with cheating!

Hmmmmm, what's made public for the geese, should be made public, for the ganders! Ya Dig?..

Lesson Of The Day: StepMothers & StepFathers...

Keeping It Real: If you are a stepparent, are you the Carol & Mike Brady of The Brady Bunch ORRRRRR Cinderella's stepmother & the movie, Stepfather?

I am a stepchild to someone and I was a stepmother! My ex-stepson, which is my children's brother, TO THIS DAY, still call me Stepmomma Toni! His father & I have been apart for over 10 years and divorced over 6 years! Why?, because I treated him like my OWN child! I was the typical Carol Brady, EVEN THOUGH, this child was born during my marriage! I stayed with his father, almost 5 years after his birth and this young man, because he is an adult now, still loves me, treats and gives me the utmost respect! Wasn't his fault, my ex cheated and his mother decided to have child because she got pregnant!

My stepmother, when I was growing up, because my parents divorced when I was like 7 years old, was the Cinderella of all Cinderella's stepmothers! I DESPISED this woman as a child and all the way into my adulthood! I made no qualms about letting her and anybody that wanted hear, know, how my mother's 9 children were treated by this woman! I DID NOT LIKE her and knew she didn't like me! Wasn't a secret! I never disrespected her, because I was taught to respect my elders! BUT, I didn't bite my tongue, either! You know how you can get somebody told without cussing or being really disrespectful, well that was me!  She made my life a living hell growing up and my Father didn't make it any better!

Flash forward: A few years ago, we had a family meeting and she apologized for all the things that were said and done to us as children! I accepted her apology, now I am not saying, everything is peaches and cream between us, but when you make amends and know better, you do better, right? God is not through with us yet, it's been a long time coming, but a change is gonna come! :) We had some good times, but the bad times outweigh the good, by far! I can say, she has taken care of my Father, been there for him through thick & thin, sickness and health! I take my hat off and COMMEND her for the last 10 years, because my Father has Alzheimer and it has been rough!

It is not written in stone, that when you enter into an agreement ( marriage, shacking up) and it comes with a package, that you can not and should not treat the package with care! Same people you treat with disdain, may be the same people you need as you get older! You never know who God is going to send you a Blessing through! Ya Dig?...

Lesson Of The Day: What The HELL Did You Come Out To The Club For?

Keeping It Real: I laugh every time a man says that to me. I go out to the clubs, because I'm single, like to mingle and free. I wanted to get dressed up, put some makeup on, fix my hair up and have a good ole time. Wanted to style some fuck me stilettos, designer clothing, light conversation and maybe have a glass of wine. Hanging out, clowning and chilling like a villian with my girlfriends. We all that and then some, so we attract all kinds of men. They flocked to our table and then they'll ask, Do you want to dance?, sometimes I shake my head no, that's when they'll say, "What the Hell did you come out to the club FO'?? Ya Dig?...

Chinese Proverb: 'When someone shares something with you, and you benefit from it. You have a moral obligation to share it with others.'So....Do as I have done! Ya Dig?..

Lesson Of The Day: Blame It On The Alcohol

Keeping It Real: Ladies, the next time, your man says he cheated because he was drunk, ask the fool, "if it was a man you were with and he wanted to stick his fingers in your butt, or ask you to suck his penis or suck your penis, WOULD YOU DO IT"? If the answer is NO, slap the hell out of the fool, because his being drunk had nothing to do with him cheating on you! Why?, because, if he was so out of his mind drunk to cheat with a woman, what difference would it make, if it was with a man?! He's DRUNK and supposedly not aware of what he is doing, so why is it ok to cheat with a woman while drunk, but not a man? Mmmmmmm, hmmmmm Ya Dig?

Lesson Of The Day: The New Drug...

Keeping It Real: BATH SALT!!!! What the hell..... Granted, it is not really bath salts, just the name because it looks so much like bath salts BUT this shit is worse than any drug, illegal and prescription, on the market! It supposed to keep you high for 4-6 days at a time, what?? Users of this drug tend to become extremely violent & erratic, posing a threat to themselves AND OTHERS!

Get this: The DEALERS are convenience stores & gas stations, WOW! $20-$30 for a small container, the size of a little spice jar!

Really? Bath salts? What are we going to start abusing next, frosting, dish detergent, washing powder, bleach??? Who would have "thunk"? Unfreakingreal...Ya Dig?...

Lesson Of The Day: Celebrity Friends

Keeping It Real: If you saw one of friends doing or saying something that was stupid & possibly get them jail time, would you intercede or say something? If one of your friends vomited on the floor and was able to clean it up themselves BUT said you do it, would you? What if they are married and gave your cell phone number to a person of the opposite sex and they called and got you in trouble with your mate, would you tell?

The point I'm making is, why is it so different, for regular folks BUT if that folk is a celebrity, all of the above would apply?

People put celebs on pedestal as if their shit don't stank and they are above them! People kiss their asses, say yes to shit they NORMALLY would never, ever do and give them a pass, time after time! How can you be a true friend to them, if you aren't being true about & to yourself? Ya Dig?

Lesson Of The Day: Black Friend/White Friend/Asian Friend/Hispanic Friend Or Any Race

Keeping It Real: You have a friend who is a different nationality/ethnic/race than you, they invite you to a party and you are the ONLY person of your race there and a topic comes up and they depict your race as being horrible, negative comments are being made, do you stand by and say nothing or do you speak up and defend your race? If your friend posts/says/comments what you consider offensive information about a person and or something that is of your race, because they might think is funny or even joke about it, will you call that person on it? If get an offensive email, which is clearly racist and your friend says, it is a joke, please do not be offended by it, would you?

My thing is, if it was me, 1st case, I would clearly speak out about it! They would have to put something in my mouth, to shut me up, OK!!!! Just because some do, doesn't mean all are! When a person tells me, my best friend is of whatever race & they are not offended by it, I say b/s! Only way, they aren't offended is if, they have denounced their race completely and think in their mind, they are another race, only way! How can you post something or even send something offensive about their race and include the person of that race in on it! If you know you have a friend of that race on your email addys, Facebook, Twitter, Myspace  and or any Network social site, why post something, they may find offensive?, especially if it is about their race and then say don't be offended or I am not racist! I'm just saying, you may not be a racist but what you said, sent or allowed, MAY BE! Food for thought! Ya Dig?...

Lesson Of The Day: Why, God?

Keeping It Real: Can anyone tell me why it is so hard to pray, but easy to swear? Why clubs are growing and churches are shrinking? Why it is so hard to re-post a Christian status, but easy to post gossip? Why we can worship a celebrity, but not Jesus? Gonna ignore this? The Lord said, if you deny Me in front of your friends, I will deny you in front of my Father. Shout it out, if you're not afraid of what your friends will say! Ya Dig?...

Lesson Of The Day: No A/C, Electric Out....

Keeping It Real: Recently, a storm came through and knocked out the electric in my neighborhood! It was 93 degrees, mind you! So when you have no air, electric is out, so no fans either, you take the clothes you are wearing, preferably something light and dunk them in water, squeeze dry and put back on! Seriously, no joke! That is what I did and the coolness of the wet clothes kept me cool! Every time, they started to dry, I did the steps above over and over until, they restored our electricity! Also, if you do not have a/c, you can do same process and let your fans blow on you, to cool off! Old folks remedies are PROVEN to work, time after time! Ya Dig?..

Lesson Of The Day: Woman Abuse

Keeping It Real: There's a lady I've known forever. She's very sick. On top of that, she's being abused by those she has given everything to. Lies about her abound, and seem to come from all sides. She has been lied on, talked about, mistreated, bombed, misused and abused. Just breaks my heart. Seems there's nothing I can do alone. But maybe, if we all join in, we can lift her up. She's well over 200 years old, but way too young to die. Her name is America... and we love her. Ya Dig?..
