Even though I clutch my blanket and growl when the alarm rings. Thank you, Lord, that I can hear. There are many who are deaf.

Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as long as possible. Thank you, Lord , that I can see. Many are blind.

Even though I huddle in my bed and put off rising. Thank you, Lord, that I have the strength to rise. There are many who are bedridden.

Even though the first hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost, toast is burned, tempers are short, and my children are so loud.

Thank you, Lord, for my family.. There are many who are lonely.

Even though our breakfast table never looks like the picture in magazines and the menu is at times unbalanced..

Thank you, Lord, for the food we have. There are many who are hungry.

Even though the routine of my job often is monotonous. Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to work. There are many who have no job.

Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my circumstances were not so modest.

Lesson Of The Day: Cocaine/Crack

Keeping It Real: As an ex-crack user, I can say CRACK IS WACK! I know some folks who will say, I use cocaine but never, ever, will I use crack! Let me enlighten your ass, crack and cocaine is the same damn thing! Crack is cooked from the powder you snort! OK?...

There are different ways to use it, like snorting, smoking and shooting it up, I have even seen folks eat it instead of snorting! Bottomline is, if they drug test you, it will come up as COCAINE! It will NOT differentiate if you smoked, snorted, shot it up and or ate it, it will come back as COCAINE! 

Friends and some family members ask, " you are NOT embarrassed to let folks know you used to smoke primos (crack sprinkled on weed)?"! Nope, because it is part of me and my PAST! 

It is not something I am proud of doing, but it was done! Folks want to call me stupid, yeah they are right, it was STUPID to use it, but in NO WAY am I stupid, my actions, maybe, but never the brain. Ya Dig?...

It is about men lying about their height and women lying about their size! How many short men under 5'10 you know, who stands about 5'7 but will say they are 5'9 or 5'10? How many women do you know, who will say, they wear a size 12 when they are every bit of a size 16? Say they weigh about 150 when it is closer to 200? 

Size doesn't really matter, so embrace your height and weight gracefully! There is somebody for everybody that will take you at 5'7 and wearing a size 16! Ya Dig?...

Lesson Of The Day: Drug Testing Welfare Recipients

Keeping It Real: Florida is the first state that is now going to require drug testing for welfare! Some people are crying this is unconstitutional. How is this unconstitutional but it's completely legal that every other working person have to pass a drug test in order to support those on welfare?

I see no reason why my tax dollars have to pay for a person's drug habit. Not only should they start drug testing they should STOP awarding people for being lazy. The system has enabled generations of families to do nothing, but sit back & collect a check every 2 weeks and or every month,  and some can't receive financial aid because they didn't have a baby at 15.  Some can't receive help when they are unemployed because they are not on section 8. The government has even provided cell phones for people on welfare. What the hell do you need a phone for if you DO NOT have a job to go to? 

They get free food, rent, electric, gas, phones, medical services, dentist visits, pay them to go to school, daycare, get their damn hair, nails & FEET done, get their baby daddies and BOYFRIENDS outta jail, buy weed, alcohol, dress like they have a 9-5 job, ride like they are not on gov't aid, party harder than a hardworking 40 hr a week person and then DO NOT WANT TO VOTE! 

I am NOT talking about folks who really need it, I am talking about the lazy ass women and some men too, who just depend on the gov't to get by! I SAY, BRING THOSE DRUGS TESTS ON, GOVERNMENT.

Its going to be a WHOLE BUNCH of hungry children in the USA, but mothers and fathers, if you want the states HELP, give it up and turn it loose ...Ya Dig?!!!

Keeping It Real: Why is that SOME actor/actresses want to sing after getting established as an actor/actress and some singers want to act?! Thing is, MOST are just getting by because of their status, dancing and LOOKS!


Examples: B2K, couldn't SING A LICK live, but they got by because they could dance & were fine as hell! Lisa Ray, CAN NOT ACT, PERIOD!! She got a BIG BUTT and is pretty! Tyra Banks, can't sing or act, but she tried it and thank God, she didn't continue! just to name a few...and the LIST GOES on and on...


Some of these celebs are only getting by because of how they look and NOT THEIR SKILLS!, then they want to take advantage of the status they have and fake ass fans gush, lie and say, that song was good or you were acting your ass off, knowing DAMN well, they have just become a JOKE!!! Like American Idol auditions, where somebody has lied to the contestant and told them they could sing and CAN'T!! Unreal.. 

We even have some that are writing BOOKS, RELATIONSHIP books and never ever went to school for journalism, but are advising people on what to do! it is all about the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR!!!

Keeping It Real: Why is that MOST short police officers and MOST women police officers and I say most because I have a sister-in-law and a friend from high school that are women police officers and it DOES NOT apply to them, but why is it that most short and most women police officers were PUNKS in school and the minute they are given that badge, uniform, car & gun, they become SUPER BAD & TOUGH ASSES?! 

They are usually the meanest ones on the crew and talk the most shit and have never been tough until they become a cop! Almost every short cop and or woman cop I have encountered always seem to have a chip on their shoulder. Just saying... Ya Dig?...

Keeping It Real: Masturbation, Massages & Oral Sex are few of the sexual acts, that have been claimed  by four men who say they were coerced into these sexual acts by renowned Bishop Eddie Long!


Bishop Long SETTLED this lawsuit and they put a GAG ORDER on any information, so the findings and settlement is private and NOT of public record! Hmmmmmmm


Did this married man of GOD commit adulterous, homosexual acts with these young men? I SAY YES!!!  It did state he "allegedly" gave expensive gifts to these men and sent them numerous pictures of himself, what man of the cloth does that? I know several ORDAINED Ministers, Pastors, Bishops and Preachers who say they would HAVE NEVER SETTLED this case and would have taken it to the max, if they WEREN'T GUILTY!

How do you settle a case of this magnitude and say I am not guilty, I am only settling to stop all the GOSSIP, irreparable harm & division, it has brought into my church! WHAT?????  


Bishop Eddie Long should be ashamed of what he did and now tries to cover it up by settling and not making the public privy to what he did! His followers seemed to have more Faith in him than God! Ya Dig?..

• Keeping It Real: Alright ladies, it's that time of year once again!!! I think we need to be reminded of a few things. So my sisters, PLEASE, raise your big toes and repeat after me below...

• The Open Toed Shoe Pledge
  As a member of the Cute Girl Sisterhood, I pledge to follow the Rules when wearing sandals and other open-toe shoes:
  
  I promise to always wear sandals that fit. My toes will not hang over and touch the ground, nor will my heels spill over the backs. And the sides and tops of my feet will not pudge out between the straps.

  I will go polish-free or vow to keep the polish fresh, intact and chip-free.
• 
  I will not cheat and just touch up my big toe.
• 
  I will sand down any mounds of skin before they turn hard and yellow.
• 
  I will shave the hairs off my big toe.
• 
  I won't wear pantyhose even if my misinformed girlfriend, coworker, mother, sister tells me the toe seam really will stay under my toes if I tuck it there.
• 
  If a strap breaks, I won't duct-tape, pin, glue or tuck it back! into place hoping it will stay put. I will get my shoe fixed or toss it.

  I will not live in corn denial; rather I will lean on my good friend Dr. Scholls if my feet need him.

  I will resist the urge to buy jelly shoes at Payless for the low, low price of $4.99 even if my feet are small enough to fit into the kids’ sizes. This is out of concern for my safety, and the safety of others. No one can walk properly when standing in a pool of sweat and I would hate to take someone down with me as I fall and break my ankle.
• 
  I will take my toe ring off toward the end of the day if my toes swell and begin to look like Vienna sausages.
• 
  I will be brutally honest with my girlfriend/sister/coworker when she asks me if her feet are too ugly to wear sandals. Someone has to tell her that her toes are as long as my fingers and no sandal makes creepy feet look good.
• 
  I will promise if I wear flip flops that I will ensure that they actually flip and flop, making the correct noise while walking and I will swear NOT to slide or drag my feet while wearing them.
• 
  I will promise to go to my local nail salon at least once per season and have a real pedicure (they are about $20 or $25 and worth EVERY penny).
• 
  I will promise to throw away any white/off-white sandals that show signs of wear...nothing is tackier than dirty white sandals.

Keeping It Real: Why is that when a person says or does something very negative and you react, they say, I was just playing, joking and or kidding around? I say, bullshit, because friends, don't intentionally say and or do something to impact or hurt you! Lesson Of The Day: Secure In Your Sexuality

Keeping It Real: Nowadays, most WOMEN, some men too, are afraid to really pay the same sex gender, a compliment! 


Scenario: I give a friend on Facebook a compliment, I tell her, she is a beautiful woman and she is and she makes the hat she is wearing look good! I get 2 emails from folks asking, "am I  bisexual"? HUH?, because I chose to give this woman a compliment, I have to like women, sexually now? Ain't nothing funny about me, but my jokes! I am a heterosexual woman and have never entertained the thought of being with a woman! I do not have anything against lesbians or bisexual women, just not my cup of tea!


Moral of the story is, I am so secure in my sexuality, that I have NO problem paying another female a compliment, when it is due! I tell women, they wearing that dress, outfit, hairstyle, shoes or whatever WELL and mean it!  Doesn't make me bi, just keeping it real! Ya Dig?...
