Lesson of The Day: Blacks And Reality Shows/Stations (VH1, Bravo, Oxygen, MTV, etc.)

Keeping It Real: I find it very amusing that some Black people think the stations like Oxygen, Bravo, VH1, MTV, TVone, WEtv just to name a few put Blacks people in a horrible way when they are aired on their stations and reality shows!

1. They have to cast for these shows, the stations do not walk around with camera crews just filming folks without their permission!

2. They also have to sign a CONTRACT to be seen on a reality show!

3. How can a reality show and station put Black people in a bad light if they never cast for it or sign a contract?

For the record, these stations have other races reality shows as well, so are they putting Black people in a bad way or any race that is foolish enough to sign up and have a camera crew follow you around and film your EVERYTHING?? 

It's entertainment and if they want to entertain folks with their life and lifestyle, so be it, right? Ya Dig???

 

Lesson Of The Day: The Knockout Game/Crime...

Keeping It Real: Some people seem to think this is racially motivated BUT, I beg to differ! True, the *bulk* of victims have been white BUT there have been attacks on Blacks, Asians & Hispanics!

So it is NOT racially motivated, it is happening to all races! and that payback statement DOES NOT fit in with what is happening and a dumb ass statement at that BUT when they are saying payback, y'all KNOW exactly what it means, not saying it is right what they are doing and I truly do not condone racism or violence but the knockout game has been around for years!

It's been termed under different guises and names! Hitler, Skinheads, Aryan Nation, Crips, Bloods, any race/person/group of people that intentionally hurts a PERSON regardless of what race is doing the knockout game/crime!! 

People saying check youtube and worldstar, don't just check your youtube, worldstar, CHECK YOUR HISTORY books as well, this shit has been going on for many, many years!!, it is only being talked about now, because it is happening to the MASSES!!! 

If it would have stayed Black on Black attacks, we wouldn't have HEARD A DAMN word about it other than the whispers of let them kill each other but now that it has escalated to other races, it is a CRIME now and becoming an epidemic! Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!!! Ya Dig?...

Lesson Of The Day: Flipping The Script On A Racist....

Keeping It Real: I was playing an online game and it involved chatting with other players while you played! This guy types in the chat box that Obama is a Porch monkey, now, I clearly and most definitely honor and love OUR president, so I say, well at least he HAS a house with a porch! He aint living in a trailer! He says Obama sucks, I say, I'm sure you, me and everybody in this game room has sucked something, ie: straws, lemons, mints! At this point, other gamers are laughing at him, so he says, well Blacks are stupid and violent and I say all Blacks are not stupid & violent, just like all whites are NOT smart and tamed and you have clearly proven that in here today! He signed off...LOL Ya Dig?...

Lesson Of The Day: African American (the names)

Keeping It Real: We have went from being called boy & girl, to Colored, to Negro, to Black and now African American! Who thought of this?

1st, I am an American with heritage from Africa among other nationalities! I do not hail from Africa, so why should I have to agree being called an African American?! I am an American and Black! 

My parents didn't come from Africa, they were born right here in the good ole USA! Don't get me wrong, I do not have a problem with my African heritage BUT I do have a problem with being TAGGED!  I have a problem with the boy and girl reference, most definitely being called COLORED, when I am on the phone and they asked if I am a "colored" woman, I say, what color?, red, green, orange, then person will say, I mean Black, yeah right! I have problem with Negro, sounds like and too close to the "N" word but being called a Black American is fine with me or just plain ole American! Ya Dig?...
